Roommates set up their shared bills once with split rules, like even splits or by room size. Each month the app shows who owes what and sends reminders until everyone marks paid. It keeps money from getting awkward in a shared home.

Build a web app called Roommate Bills. A user creates a household and invites roommates by link. Add recurring bills with name, amount (fixed or varies), due day and split rule (even, percent, or fixed amount per person).
Each month create bill instances. For variable bills, let one roommate enter the amount or upload a photo of the bill, and use an AI model to read the total and due date. Show a balance screen with who owes whom and let people mark their share paid.
Send email reminders three days before due and on the due date to anyone unpaid. Add a yearly summary export. Add Stripe for the paid plan.
