Compost Drop

Neighbors log food scraps dropped at a shared compost bin.

Nobody has claimed this yet. Be first.

The idea

A community garden or block puts up a QR code on its compost bin. Neighbors scan it to log a drop-off and the bin keeper sees how full it is getting and who is contributing. It keeps shared composting organized and shows the group how much waste they diverted.

PROMPT 1 OF 3

Build a web app called Compost Drop. A bin keeper signs up, creates a bin with name, location and capacity in buckets, and gets a printable QR code. Scanning the code opens a quick drop-off form with contributor nickname and size (small, medium, large bucket).

PROMPT 2 OF 3

Track each drop with timestamp and size, and compute a fill estimate for the bin. When the keeper marks the bin as turned or emptied, reset the fill level. Show a simple bar for fill level and a list of recent drops. Allow the keeper to add rules text shown on the drop form.

PROMPT 3 OF 3

Add a monthly impact page per bin with total drops, estimated pounds diverted and top contributors by nickname, shareable as a public link. Email the keeper when the bin passes 80 percent full. Add a Stripe plan for groups managing more than one bin.
